Teaching online - learning platforms

Teaching Online

Teaching Online was always my distant wish. Since I started working more than 30 years ago, I thought it would be a way to finish my working career. Somehow it seems right to share all the accumulated knowledge I gathered throughout my entire professional life. I always had a useful vocabulary and knew how to approach people, but it was in my native language. My English was not nearly as good as it should be for teaching someone Online.

After I moved to Thailand, English was the language I was using, since I know Thai nearly enough to communicate with people. I am advancing there, but it is still a lot to conquer.

I started writing in English, and I found out the full power of the Grammarly app. It is not perfect, but it helps me a lot in my writing and improves my speaking skills. Of course, a lot of practice is by far the most important reason for improving the English language.

Finally, I had the confidence to speak to the people professionally and present to them what I have learned in the past 30 years.

Choosing the topics for Teaching online

I was lucky to work on many different fields, form Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), management, online marketing, and in the past two or three years, to learn and practice building WordPress websites and doing on-page SEO. Those experiences and competencies are, as I found out, something that people want to know.

Finding the platform for Teaching online

The next step was to find a platform where I can do that. That was also the opportunity to implement my SEO knowledge and Keyword Research. First, I typed “teaching online,” and nothing much came out. Then I investigate a little bit and find the keyword “Learn online.” It opened the whole range of websites that offered students to learn various skills using online platforms.

Finally, I opted for 3-4, plus I put one Gig on Fiverr. Now I tech on Fiverr and Preply, and I have, so far, excellent experience with both. Students that I have the pleasure to work with up to date are incredibly motivated and eager to learn, and it is effortless to share my knowledge and experience. I was afraid that I would be tired after classes, but nothing of that has happened. I draw the energy from the classes and really enjoy it so much.
